8th Annual Interprofessional Healthcare Symposium

This year’s theme is Interprofessionalism on Wheels: Reaching Patients in the Community Through Innovation. The symposium will showcase current and emerging interprofessional (IP) programs at UAB and throughout the community. Presentations and hands‑on activities will demonstrate how innovative approaches are being used to improve the safety and well‑being of patients across healthcare settings.

The keynote address will focus on the state of rural health in Alabama. Attendees will also hear from a panel of experts and participate in breakout sessions highlighting how different organizations are using mobile units to meet community needs. A poster session will feature the work of interprofessional teams from across the area.
